Matt,
Thank you for sharing your struggles with us. I know how hard it is to ask for help. I’ve always been willing to help others but find it VERY difficult to ask when I have needed help myself. As Flora M Hill neighborhood kids, we need to stick together. I send along my prayers and a little financial support. I so wish it could be more. You are loved and we are all with you through this journey. Stay strong my friend and know that you can always lean on your friends when feeling a little weak or unsteady. Hi Matthew…I appreciate your struggle with sharing personal information and with asking for help. We are struggling here with the death of my father and continuing care of my mother who has Alzheimer’s as well as our own health issues. Dad always said, “Getting old is not for sissies!” I didn’t realize how quickly that would apply to me!
Your albums are on my next things to purchase list and I’m sending out loving energy to your spirit. I admire your decision to reach out. Friends and family can be a great support. An actual support group has helped my dad and I manage our confusion, anger, and grief over mom’s condition. I hope you can find some similar help. May peace and serenity be yours.

Matthew, it’s not a lot, but if we can all give some it will at least show that you are remembered by long-forgotten classmates. I’ve had too many friends and my mother who have gone through melanoma. I know it’s devastating, but my adopted father had what you have (eye) about 20 years ago, and he’s still perking along in his 90s. If you’d like I can put your name on a prayer list from my church that goes to thousands across the country… the founder is another 20-year survivor of melanoma. Don’t lose faith. Cling to those who love you and draw strength from them when you need it.
